Want to know the brains behind this whole operation? Introducing Roger Walker. Hampshire born and bred, straight from a Winchester school he began his pursuit for pairing work with outdoor pursuits; from a canal barge holiday business, volunteering to erect deer fences and build dry-stone walls in the Lake District, to working on summer holidays camps for youngsters and teaching outdoor pursuits around the world. Let’s just say Roger knows a thing or two about what makes an experience truly unique. He’s also Chief Cake Maker at Experience Hampshire meetings.

Did David ever think he’d be discussing alpaca walking or spoon whittling as part of his career portfolio? - Probably not. Yet here he is - after a career as an Actuary in pensions and insurance, David decided to work in a venture where the idea is that your clients actually have FUN. Previously David helped establish and build one of Britain’s largest private companies. He has also managed an expedition to get a double and quadruple amputee to the top of Ethiopia’s highest mountain! Brought up in the Lake District but now firmly rooted in Hampshire, David loves the outdoors and is keen to promote everything that our wonderful county has to offer.

It was during a trip around Europe in her self converted campervan that Roger called her and offered the opportunity for her to work with Experience Hampshire - which she snapped up! Emma is our creator of content, organiser, marketing strategist and consumer of most of the cake at our meetings.
