Roger Walker

Roger Walker

Chief Experience Officer

Want to know the brains behind this whole operation? Introducing Roger Walker. Hampshire born and bred, straight from a Winchester school he began his pursuit for pairing work with outdoor pursuits; from a canal barge holiday business, volunteering to erect deer fences and build dry-stone walls in the Lake District, to working on summer holidays camps for youngsters and teaching outdoor pursuits around the world. Let’s just say Roger knows a thing or two about what makes an experience truly unique. He’s also Chief Cake Maker at Experience Hampshire meetings.

David Collinson

David Collinson

Experience Chairman

Did David ever think he’d be discussing alpaca walking or spoon whittling as part of his career portfolio? - Probably not. Yet here he is - after a career as an Actuary in pensions and insurance, David decided to work in a venture where the idea is that your clients actually have FUN. Previously David helped establish and build one of Britain’s largest private companies. He has also managed an expedition to get a double and quadruple amputee to the top of Ethiopia’s highest mountain! Brought up in the Lake District but now firmly rooted in Hampshire, David loves the outdoors and is keen to promote everything that our wonderful county has to offer.

Nadine Collinson

Nadine Collinson

Nadine has creativity by the bucket load. Following successful careers in fashion and film special effects, Nadine moved to Hampshire to raise her gorgeous family. She did this whilst pursuing her artistic journey as a Sculptor and Painter. She is passionate about championing local initiatives and charities. Dedicated to enhancing the community, she regularly organises events and exhibitions including The Winchester Portrait Exhibition, Graze Festival and Hares of Hampshire. She is also an Ambassador for The Murray Parish Trust and a keen supporter of the Hampshire Cultural Trust and Theatre Royal Winchester.

Fiona Walker

Fiona Walker

Experience Ambassador

Fiona came to glorious Hampshire to train as a primary teacher several years ago and instantly fell in love with the county so she decided to stay! As a teacher, she is passionate about using the outdoor environment in education and for many years now has led and developed a rich and diverse curriculum for this subject in both the state and independent sector. Along with her love of the outdoors, family life and inspiring children, Fiona is excited about exploring those experiences that particularly appeal to families.

Emma Downey

Emma Downey

Chief Experience Marketeer

Emma grew up in Devon but moved to Hampshire 6 years ago and refused to move back. She’s worked in marketing for almost 12 years for global and national brands. She embraced the freelance world 3 years ago, building up an impressive client portfolio. It was during a trip around Europe in her self converted campervan that Roger called her and offered the opportunity for her to work with Experience Hampshire - which she snapped up! Emma is our creator of content, organiser, marketing strategist and consumer of most of the cake at our meetings.

Mike Crompton

Mike Crompton

Experience Techmaster

When someone accidentally presses the Big Red Button on the website Mike is the cool, calm and collected member of the team who fixes it. Mike heads up the technical division of Experience Hampshire, directing and overseeing the implementation of all design and technical projects. With over 20 years’ experience in delivering technical systems, Mike is an expert at taking strategic goals and delivering them through the relevant digital channels. Outside of work Mike is married to Catherine and lives close to Winchester with his three children. He loves spending time in the mountains ski touring with Roger!

Louise Harrington

Louise Harrington

Experience Partner Liaison Officer

Louise grew up in Somerset, moving to Romsey, Hampshire when she was 16 years old. Her passion has always been travel, spending most of her career organising luxury holidays. Louise is married with 2 young daughters and 2 beloved dogs. She kept herself busy during the pandemic: successfully home-schooling her daughters, setting up a cosmetics business from home and most recently running baby /toddler singing and dancing classes at venues across Southampton. During the summer months Louise loves attending music and food festivals with family and friends.
