Q:  What photos do I get?

A:  You will get six fully edited digital images plus three 6"x8" prints. Depending on which package you buy this could include a 75cm x 50cm acrylic or canvas.

Q:  Who chooses the photos?

A:  I will prepare a good selection of images and edit one, that I believe you will love, to show you what kind of results we can get. The others will be in a customer's gallery on my website where you can choose a further 5 images to be edited. You will also be able to choose which of those will be printed and the image for the canvas/acrylic (if appropriate).

Q:  Can we order larger canvasses or more than one?

A:  I have assigned a budget for the canvas/acrylic in the ticket prices but we can always make adjustments if you wanted a larger canvas/acrylic or more than one. Provided the chosen image bears up to close examination the largest acrylics we can supply are 2M x 1.4M and we could produce a fantastic statement for the larger home and print life size in 3 panels.

Q:  Please can I have all the digital images?

A:  It would be unprofessional of me to release poor images and if circulated they could damage my reputation so for those reasons I do not release unedited images. However further edited images and/or prints can be purchased.

Q:  Who owns the copyright to the images?

A:  At all times I retain the copyright to all images from the photoshoot which gives me the right to use images for publicity and/or sale. Of course you will be allowed to use the images as well and in most circumstances this will not attract additional fees or royalties. For social media it would be great if you could tag me. Any specific commercial use of photos should be discussed in advance.

Q:  How long will the shoot take?

A:  Including setting up and packing away most shoot take between 1 1/2 hours and 2 1/2 hours but generally I will be there for as long as it takes provided we are getting great photos and the horse is not getting too tired.

Q:  What about safety?

A:  I do everything I can to keep clients, horses, observers and myself as safe as possible. I take time to get the horse used to the surroundings and the lights, background and any other kit. However you know your horse better than I do so ultimately you are responsible for deciding what is safe and what isn't. If there is any doubt in your mind, it is imperative that you (or anybody observing the shoot) make your concerns known. Specifically in the case of mounted or ridden photos you will be fully responsible for making sure you operate well within your ability and well within safety boundaries. At any point, either of us can call a halt to proceedings or terminate the shoot if we are uncomfortable about safety or if the horses shows signs of distress.

Q:  Can I have a full makeover shoot?

A:  Yes. Certainly. That kind of shoot can be fun and produce some lovely images so feel free to talk about ideas. I may also be able to help with hair and makeup contacts through my wedding photography business.
