Jane Austen’s Hampshire

Clients’ own arrangements* to arrive at the Wykeham Arms, on the outskirts of Winchester - The Wykeham Arms - Fuller's Pub and Hotel in Winchester. Recent winner of Fuller’s Pub of the Year

1000 - A private 3 hour experience to learn more about the Regency period, dining and dance customs, etiquette, card games and clothing, led by a costumed Jane Austen historical actor in a private area of the pub. Includes a single course lunch, with choices (all dietary requirements catered for). Drinks not included  

1315 – A private 1 hour guided walking tour of Winchester to discover its Regency past, including a look at the outside of the house where Jane Austen spent the last 6 weeks of her life, before being buried in nearby Winchester Cathedral

1430 – Clients’ own arrangements from Winchester to Oakley Hall Hotel (30 minutes)

1500 – An afternoon tea with a glass of champagne at Oakley Hall Hotel, hosted by a tea tasting expert - Gallery | Oakley Hall Hotel Basingstoke

New Forest Classis Car Experience

Starting Point – Edge of the New Forest

Finishing Point – Edge of the New Forest

Clients’ own arrangements to arrive at the start point on the edge of the New Forest National Park

0900 – Briefing and introduction to the class cars. Meet the guide

0930 - Head out in to the forest driving a classic vintage car, following a local guide

1300 – Lunch in the forest. Either a luxury picnic or lunch in one of the serval acclaimed eateries in the area

1430 - Switch cars between the group and head down towards the coast through the back roads of the forest
